CMA CGM strengthens its logistic presence in Russia by creating a joint venture in rail transport

CMA CGM signs a partnership with LogOper, a company specializing in intermodal activities in Russia in order to create LogOper LLC. A strategic partnership to offer new logistical services in Russia.

CMA CGM Group, a world leader in maritime transport, is pleased to announce the creation of a Joint Venture with LogOper, a Russian intermodal operator, to strengthen its logistical activities in Russia. The agreement was signed on October 27, 2017.

The new company, of which the CMA CGM Group holds 50% of the shares, is called LogOper LLC. It allows the implementation of new rail transport services: . between Baltic Sea ports and Moscow Khovrino train station |. between the far East of Russia or China, and Moscow.

On this occasion, Alexis Michel, Senior Vice President in charge of Logistics, said: "The creation of this new company will allow us to strengthen our intermodal services offer and our presence in Russia. Thanks to this partnership with this local logistics expert, CMA CGM Group continues to grow in Russia and has the ability to bring Moscow closer to the sea! This demonstrates the Group’s ambition to offer its customers a range of services even more efficient."
